I offer a free edit of up to 750 words for new clients. Those interested can email me the first forty pages of their manuscript, and I will edit a random sampling.

Why don’t I just request three pages and edit those?

Because when I do that, writers tend to polish—and overpolish—in anticipation of my edit. I’m looking for writing that best represents their work.

If you’re interested in a free sample edit, email me the following information and I’ll take it from there:

• Your book’s working title
• What you expect from a copy editor
• Genre (or thesis, if academic)
• Approximate word count of the manuscript
• Your phone number

And if you decide not to go with my services, no worries. There’s absolutely no obligation or commitment.
